IsoAcoustics zaZen Isolation Platform
Composed from dense, void-less fibre and coupled with IsoAcoustics' patented isolating foot attachments, the zaZen is an isolation platform designed for use with turntables, tube amplifiers and other sensitive HiFi components.
zaZen is available in two sizes with alternative weight capacities. The zaZen I measures a thickness of 38mm and holds up to 11.3kg of weight, while the zaZen II measures in at 44mm boasting a bulkier 18.1kg of maximum capacity.
The zaZen platform’s mass married with its integrated isolation technology serve to remove interference from structure-borne vibration, allowing the operating HiFi component to perform at its very best and reveal new levels of acoustic clarity and detail.
Each zaZen isolation platform is finished in elegant black gloss to match neutrally with a wide variety of turntable and HiFi component aesthetics.

IsoAcoustics Inc. has been manufacturing and distributing isolation products in the audio industry since January 2012. We use Royal Mail 1st Class services for our Standard Delivery.
Orders received before 4.30 pm Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. This does not apply to custom-length cables and speaker cables as these require a longer timescale to terminate. This also excludes all cables selected for the burn-in service. Please note, we do not process orders on national holidays in the UK. Over 98% of our orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays.
Standard delivery is usually within 2 working days, although 98% of all orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays. In extreme cases, such as delivery to the Highlands and Islands, this may take 3 days.
All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Future Shop. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD Local or DHL for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. For international orders, we use FedEx or DHL services where customers have selected this option.
Please note, special orders for non-standard cable lengths may be subject to longer deliver time-scales. This may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by Future Shop by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.

What I noticed about the previous setup was a more cohesive sound. The soundstage, clarity, drive, and depth all noticeably improved. My niggle with the feet supporting the deck was I couldn't seem to get it perfectly level. The Zazen 1 was spirit-level ready from the word go.
This Zazen II device massively reduced the vibration from people walking past. It would also make an excellent isolation platform for a turntable.
I highly recommend it.
Everything is improved, including the sound floor, sound stage, and clarity. I was so impressed that I bought another one for my CD player, which has the same results.

After some deliberation, I bought this, and I am suitably impressed. The effects are subtle but noticeable, and for just £200, it's well worth it. The sound feels more solid, has higher quality, more depth, and a more 'glassy', transparent feel to it.
Percentage-wise, I'd say it's a 10-15% improvement which is decent enough for the outlay. Give it a go on your own system!
However, the main reason for the purchase was to stop the 'skipping' of the needle on a record when you walk around (tip-toe) the same area., This has not been the case & I am now wondering if I may have been better off getting the Z2 as my turntable is around 10.5kg, which is near the limit of the Z1.
However, the service from these guys is fantastic.
I agree with all of the comments made here; I've had four platforms in total over the years and THIS is the one that actually made a difference (or differences): better isolation, less 'noise' more spacious presentation, etc. This is actually on top of my Quadraspire rack.
£220 might seem a lot but isn't compared to some of the more 'esoteric' platforms; my top buy for the hifi this year!!
This platform reduces noise to such and extent that you begin to understand and appreciate just how this turntable is phenomenal. The Zazen 1 allows the Rega to retrieve extra levels of ldetail culminating in an even more accomplished performance. Now there is a 3 dimensional sound full of body and a visceral grip on every note and beat.
If you are going to purchase a Rega P10 the purchase of a Zazen should; Indeed must be a prerequisite .
