Kordz EVS-R HDMI cables are confidently backed by an ‘Immortal’ lifetime warranty*. If your EVS-R cable fails due to manufacturing or quality defect, we will replace it with the nearest current equivalent at no charge.
Kordz has been an HDMI Adopter since 2005, is an HDMI 2.0 Adopter. EVS-R is amongst the comprehensive listings that we have on the HDMI Product Finder portal at HDMI.org. Your assurance of proven compliance and certification.
Silver-Plated, larger gauge solid conductors
The solid wire conductors of EVS-R are 2.5x larger than those in EVO-R, resulting in 60% more surface area. This means faster digital bit ‘rise times’, drastically increasing the bandwidth headroom. Further to this the main conductors of EVS-R are coated in a surface of pure silver (2% of conductor volume) to harness the natural phenomenon of skin effect, meaning the signal travels predominantly through silver. Good video relies on accurate pixel color definitions, being right or wrong, whereas audio can be impacted by all sorts of subtleties in the waveform. The larger surface and silver coating maintains superior timing accuracy, resulting in superior PCM and HD audio performance.
Die cast connector
The die cast connector fits into an HDMI receptacle like no other. It offers a firm, secure fit with no sloppiness and no need for locking. The 24K gold-plated zinc-alloy monocoque design is seam-free and tested to more than 1,000 plug/unplug events without crushing or fatiguing. It provides a significant 20 Newtons (approx 2kg) of retention force to ensure a firm, secure long term fit.
Lightweight construction
EVS-R is a thicker cable than its EVO-R sibling, but one of the first things you’ll notice is its remarkably light weight. In fact it’s startlingly light, comprising the best hi-tech materials such as extruded aluminium shell and halogen-free strain relief and cable jacket, with no use of heavy metals anywhere throughout. Minimal weight means minimal strain on the HDMI receptacle, and when combined with the die cast connector provides one of the most reliable connections available.
Green credential
EVS-R is built with environmental sensitivity in mind. Low toxicity zero-halogen cable jacket means it’s safe to use in any environment from home to office to luxury yachts (where halogens turn into hydrochloric acid on contact with water!). Furthermore we don’t use cable twist ties either, rather reusable hook and loop cable management straps, all in 100% recyclable cardboard packaging.
THX® Certified 4K Interconnect
THX® Certification involves a rigorous suite of some 75 tests over and above the HDMI® Compliance Test Specification (CTS), including tests for high bandwidth stability to 18Gbps (aggregate data rate), dependable interoperability, benchmark connector fit and overall premium build quality. It’s the most comprehensive cable test regime on the planet, certifying cables as the best available.

Customers consistently praise this HDMI cable for delivering excellent 4K video and audio quality, with notable improvements in picture clarity, color range, and deeper blacks. Build quality is highlighted as solid and flexible with strong connectors. Multiple customers report purchasing multiple units after positive experiences. Some note audible improvements including enhanced vocal clarity and bass detail compared to standard cables, though one reviewer recommends a 20-hour break-in period. Fit and compatibility work well across various 4K devices. Customer service receives positive mention. A single negative review contrasts sharply with overwhelmingly positive feedback, though no specific complaint details are provided.
Excellent service.
My previous cable (HDTV cables made in Germany) I thought were all I needed, I never knew about THX cables until a few days ago.
There really is an improvement in picture and sound, it's not huge but it's there, I've been able to increase contrast by +3 without being fatiguing on the eyes as it was before.
Vocal clarity is now improved and LFE bass is more detailed with increased punch.
Run these cables in for at least 20 hours as I found reds and whites to be too intense at first and was constantly adjusting the picture on the TV.
I have to thank FUTURESHOP Staff for their knowledge and professionalism when making these purchases. Highly Recommended!
