Meze Audio ALBA In-Ear Monitors
The Meze Audio ALBA is a wired in-ear monitor built around a single 10.8mm dynamic driver, and it is designed as an approachable first step into better in-ear sound. Meze tune it to a neutral balance with a little extra warmth: the bass is kept under control and the treble is smooth enough for long listening sessions, so it suits most kinds of music rather than favouring one. On paper it is an easy load, with 32 ohm impedance and 109dB SPL/mW sensitivity.
The shell combines zinc alloy and anodised aluminium, shaped to sit securely in the ear and finished in an iridescent white that Meze liken to a pearl. Each earpiece weighs 14g. The braided 1.2m silver-plated copper cable attaches with standard 2-pin (0.78mm) connectors and ends in a gold-plated 3.5mm jack. Because it is detachable, it can be swapped later, for example for Meze's own 2 Pin Silver Plated IEM Cable, which we sell in 3.5mm and 4.4mm versions.
ALBA and ALBA S share the same earphones, cable, ear tips and pouch. The difference is that ALBA also comes with Meze's USB-C adapter, which has a DAC/AMP built in and lets you plug the earphones straight into a phone, tablet or computer with a USB-C port, including devices with no headphone socket. An LED on the adapter lights when it is connected properly. If your player or amplifier already has a 3.5mm output, ALBA S is the version without the adapter. Four pairs of silicone ear tips (S, M, L and XL) and an eco-leather carrying pouch are included.
