Meze Audio MMCX Silver Plated Upgrade Cable - 1.2m Length
The Meze Audio MMCX Silver Plated Upgrade Cable is a replacement lead for in-ear monitors with MMCX sockets. It is braided from silver-plated copper (SPC) wires, with 20 strands in each wire and 80 strands across the cable, and a soft nylon jacket protects the conductors from corrosion. Meze designed it to give a more open and more detailed sound than a basic stock lead, with a quieter background behind the music.
At 1.2m it is sized for portable listening, from the earpieces to a player, a dongle DAC or a headphone amplifier. You can choose the source plug: a 3.5mm jack for standard single-ended headphone outputs, or a 2.5mm or 4.4mm plug for players and amplifiers with a balanced output. Meze show the cable with their ADVAR in-ear monitors, which come with a 1.2m MMCX SPC cable and a 3.5mm jack as standard.

Open-back models cover several levels

Closed-back and in-ear models suit other uses
The Strada and 99 Classics 2nd Gen are closed-back headphones, and the Astru and Alba are in-ear models. The 99 Classics use walnut veneer earcups with gold or silver metal accents. Check the product page for the exact models currently available.
Parts are designed to be replaceable

- Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
- Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
- Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:

The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
