The Synergistic Research Ethernet Switch Mk II is a high-performance network switch designed to revolutionize digital audio streaming. Built with cutting-edge technologies from our Voodoo server and PowerCell SRX line conditioner, the Mk II introduces next-generation Electromagnetic (EM) Cells, an Ultra-Low Frequency (ULF) Biasing system, and an enhanced linear power supply for improved signal clarity. We’ve continued this decade-long adaption of EM Cell technology to condition the digital signal in an Ethernet Switch for perhaps our most transformational product since the original PowerCell line conditioner. It is no secret that digital sound quality has taken monumental strides forward since the days of “Perfect Sound Forever.” It’s also no secret that many audiophiles, including our Lead Designer, find much to love about the sound of analog playback from LP’s and Tapes.
Improved EM Filtration
At the heart of the Mk II are our next-generation Electromagnetic Cells (EM Cells), the first reengineering of their technology since we sought our original patent. Initially developed for our PowerCell SRX to address both power and signal clarity in the digital domain, they selectively filter high-frequency noise from incoming AC power and the digital signal path, eliminating electromagnetic interference (EMI) and switching noise that can degrade audio quality. This results in a significantly lower noise floor compared to our original UEF Ethernet Switch.
Linear Power Supply
The Mk II also incorporates our latest linear power supply (LPS) technology, refined during the development of the Voodoo server. This advanced LPS optimizes the DC bias for the EM Cells and the switch itself, unlocking performance levels unattainable from the first-gen UEF Switch. The result is cleaner power delivery and more stable, jitter-free data transmission, even under peak network loads.
