These are a significant step up from the old Ultra Black XLRs (as you would expect from any of tellurium Q's developments by now). Its designers start from the view that every material in the signal path acts as a filter, and they combine multiple stranded conductors, different dielectric materials and different geometries to reduce the effect. The Silver range is designed to give silver-like character without harshness. The Black range, which includes Black Diamond, aims for a transparent and lifelike presentation. The Blue range adds a little warmth to balance a bright system. You can pick the family that matches your system before choosing a level.

Each family has three levels: the standard models (Silver III, Black II and Blue II), the Ultra II models and the Diamond models, with a Statement line alongside them. You can choose a family for its balance first, then decide which level suits your system and budget.

Why we stock Tellurium Q
Tellurium Q are the brand customers tell us about unprompted. Black is the range that sells and the one people return to buy more of, usually after hearing what a single interconnect did. Fourteen years of selling them and the feedback has not shifted, which is rarer than it sounds.
New cables (even high-quality ones) benefit from a period of signal conditioning before reaching their optimum performance. The dielectric (insulation) around the conductors needs time to stabilise under the electromagnetic field created by signal flow. Rather than leaving this to you, we run cables on our Nordost Vidar burn-in machine before dispatch, up to the equivalent of 200 hours of use, in a fraction of the time. Your cable arrives performance-ready from the first listen.
We use Royal Mail 1st Class services for our Standard Delivery.
Orders received before 4.30 pm Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. This does not apply to custom-length cables and speaker cables as these require a longer timescale to terminate. This also excludes all cables selected for the burn-in service. Please note, we do not process orders on national holidays in the UK. Over 98% of our orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays.
Standard delivery is usually within 2 working days, although 98% of all orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays. In extreme cases, such as delivery to the Highlands and Islands, this may take 3 days.
All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Future Shop. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD Local or DHL for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. For international orders, we use FedEx or DHL services where customers have selected this option.

The Tellurium Q Ultra Black II interconnects consistently deliver significant sonic improvements across multiple system configurations, with reviewers praising enhanced clarity, detail, soundstage, and bass definition. Build quality is described as sturdy and expensive-feeling. However, these cables require substantial burn-in time—typically 200+ hours—before reaching optimal performance, though Future Shop offers 96-hour pre-burn-in. The bass is richer and warmer, the mid-range clearer and effortless, cymbals crisper. I'm revisiting my old jazz favourites and enjoying them anew. Listening to Grant Green, Idle Moments with a nice glass of red wine and a big smile on my face.
It provides a significant sonic upgrade with smooth, natural sound across the range, making music more enjoyable and immersive.
The amp I was currently using was a £1,000 PA amp from my dj'ing day's and the amp I had on the home demo was a £13,000 Bel Canto black ex dual mono.
I was very disappointed that there was very little improvement over the PA amp.
Quiet, cleaner sounding, but no improvement regarding imaging, soundstage, life, and energy.
That's when I spoke with Mark, and he recommended this interconnect and Audioquest Rocket 88 speaker cable (I have yet to write a review).
Changing the speaker cable made a huge difference and improvements regarding imaging soundstage, life and energy with plenty of new detailed information that I've not heard before.
Adding the Ultra black 2 interconnect between my Mcintosh Men220 room correction and the Bel Canto amp really opened up the soundstage and throughout the whole frequency range, the music is so much smoother... especially poor recordings.
With great recordings, the Ultra black brought out textures and even more details, giving the music a sense of realism and quietness.
For me, the way I see it, if you have to struggle to hear differences to justify making the purchase, it's not worth it.
With these cables including the speaker cable i didn't struggle hearing the difference... it's such an incredible difference that I've gone from wanting to send the Bel Canto amp back... to keeping it because now I can hear why this amp's price is £13,000.
I am highly satisfied and highly recommend these cables.... and the same goes for Future Shop... professional and very helpful.
This new pair is installed between my DAC and the preamp. At first, I couldn't tell much of a difference from the previous cable that was in the same price range. They now have over 200 hours on them and are just coming into their own. They now sound like what I was expecting. Clear and pure treble, the midrange is beautiful with voices sounding like the singer is in the room with you. The bass is deep and extremely well defined. Every note from a bass guitar is individual and not muddled together. Outstanding.
I tried them between my phono stage and my preamp. Good but not great. I am using van den Hull The Second, and they have a beautiful analogue sound that I prefer. The ultra Blacks were a touch too analytical for my taste. It's not the cables; it's me, I guess.
These are outstanding cables that need a long term to settle into a system. The 96 hours that Futureshop offers are to get you started.
Over the years, I've demoed many cables and could never hear a discernable difference that would justify spending more money until I plugged in the Ultra Black Ⅱ from Tellurium Q. Wow! The first thing I had to do was turn down the volume from my usual setting. The air and space around instruments is something I always listen for, and these Ultra Black Ⅱ interconnects deliver this presentation by the bucketload. Whilst I've never said that cables don't make a difference, I've never heard anything, even from extortionately priced cables, that made a big enough difference to warrant the huge price tags, even if I could afford them.
The Ultra Black Ⅱ cables are not right at the top end of Tellurium's price and product range, but they deliver exceptional value for the difference you can hear.
