Townshend Audio F1 Fractal Analogue Phono Interconnect
Fractal-Wire™ is Townshend Audio’s ultimate interconnect. It took a long time to improve the Isolda EDCT (Enhanced™ Deep Cryogenic Treatment), but they finally achieved it by developing the Fractal-Wire™ proprietary treatment process. This is as big a breakthrough as was achieved and much imitated when they discovered the benefits of Enhanced Deep Cryogenic Treatment (also applied to Fractal-Wire™). But this time they're keeping the details to themselves! Suffice to say that you have not heard a truly transparent cable until you’ve heard Townshend Audio Fractal-Wire™.
Each Fractal-Wire™ Interconnect is made by hand because this is the only way to build a cable that has the absolute minimum contact with the insulator. The signal travels through a very thin polyester coated enamelled copper wire, which is spiralled around a much thicker bare copper ground. Because signal and return conductors are so tightly spaced external electric fields cannot get in. As a result, these cables completely stop hum in valve amplifier setups, whilst blocking radio frequency interference (RFI). As the signal conductors only come into occasional contact with the inner of the two concentric PTFE tubes degradation due dielectric mass is kept at the barest minimum. The PTFE tubes are in turn placed inside a clear PVC outer.
Fractal-Wire™ is terminated in the industry best Neutrik Profi RCA phono plugs which have a spring loaded ground collar. The balanced version of Fractal-Wire™ incorporates two strands of the ultra-fine enamelled copper conductor spiralled together with a parallel drain wire but no shielding, it is terminated with Neutrik XLR plugs.

Seismic isolation uses air springs
The Seismic range includes the Seismic Isolation Pod, Platform, Podium Pair, Corner pack of four and Piano Isolators. They use air springs to isolate equipment from vibration at very low frequencies. Choose by the weight and size of the component or the loudspeaker.
Maximum supertweeters add the top octave
The Maximum Supertweeters are sold as a pair and are added to an existing loudspeaker. They cover the highest frequencies, above the range of a standard tweeter. Check the product page for how they connect to your system.
Cables use cryogenic and fractal treatments
The cable range includes DCT 300 phono interconnects, F1 Fractal phono and XLR interconnects, DCT Isolda and F1 Fractal speaker cables and a DCT digital interconnect. Townshend uses cryogenic and fractal treatments on its cables, according to published reviews. Check the product page for the length and termination of each.
New cables (even high-quality ones) benefit from a period of signal conditioning before reaching their optimum performance. The dielectric (insulation) around the conductors needs time to stabilise under the electromagnetic field created by signal flow. Rather than leaving this to you, we run cables on our Nordost Vidar burn-in machine before dispatch, up to the equivalent of 200 hours of use, in a fraction of the time. Your cable arrives performance-ready from the first listen.

Worldwide - Excluding UK & Europe
Deliveries outside of the UK are not subject to 20% VAT and so the 20% tax on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
If applicable, the customer will be liable for the taxes at the local tax rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.

The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine seamlessly combines three vital functions into a single operation:
