The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm is our top level SPDIF digital audio interconnect cable, though is equally suited for Video and HF signal transport at a maximum performance level. The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm has been specially designed bearing the highest possible transmission quality of 75 Ohm impedance level SPDIF consumer format digital audio in mind, and is aimed at the critical audiophile as well as the professional. The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm’s special design covers all aspects required for a flawless and reliable transmission of SPDIF digital audio at short range as well as across large studio distances and allows for notable improvements in your audio quality. The cable’s strict HF design likewise benefits the transport of Video and HF signals well into the Gigahertz range.

 

Features:

  • The DigiCoupler 75 Ohm features a very constant and precise 75 Ohm impedance: 75 Ohm ± 0.5 Ohm up to 3 GHz
  • The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm features a very high frequency bandwidth. As an example: The -3 dB bandwidth of a 10 m. run is 770 MHz. (For more data see Attenuation graph in the sidebar)
  • The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm features a very low signal attenuation per unit length. As an example: At 100 MHz the attenuation is a mere 0.11 dB/m. (For more data see HF Performance Graphs in the sidebar)
  • The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm is a so-called “Superscreened” or “Low Transfer Impedance type” cable. To maximize performance in keeping the signal in and noise (RFI and EMI) out, the highest possible shielding factor is required. Without making compromises, The Digi-Coupler75 Ohm’s design therefore features a so-called “triaxial construction” which makes use of multiple highest quality shields. In The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm not less than 3 dense braided shields, 3 foil shields and a Linear Structured Carbon ® (LSC) saturated outer layer are used, which combined shielding factor results into an ultra high screening attenuation and an ultra low transfer impedance; This allowing the cable to carry the designation “Superscreened”. The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm’s supreme immunity against radio frequency and electromagnetic interference allows trouble-free use of large lengths. Multiple lengths can be run in parallel without risk of mutual interference, even with other cabling (e.g. in cable conduits).
  • The Digi-Coupler 75 Ohm features high purity dense silver coated stranded shields as well as a rugged and hard-wearing jacket made of our HULLIFLEX ® polymer insulation material. All providing an optimal protection against chemical (corrosive) attack from the outside world and ensuring a very long lifespan.

1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Services as a Standard Postage Option

Orders received before 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. Over 98% of our orders are usually delivered the next working day including Saturdays.

Standard delivery is usually within 2-3 working days, although 98% of all orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays . In extreme cases, such as delivery to the Highlands and Islands, this may take 3 days.

All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Futureshop.co.uk. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD or Interlink Express for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order Monday to Friday subject to stock availability. For International orders, we use FedEx Services where customers have selected this option.

Please note, special orders for non-standard cable lengths or custom-made cables may be subject to longer delivery time-scales. This may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

We offer 'Free UK delivery on orders over £99' subject to the following terms & conditions:

For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by futureshop.co.uk by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.

Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.

Please take note of the following details regarding our cable burn-in service:

  • Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
  • Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
  • Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.

The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:

  1. Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
  2. Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
  3. Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.

The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. These signals comprise ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies, extending beyond the range of video frequencies. The signal moves back and forth along the cable, penetrating deep into the core with ultra-low frequencies and traversing the surface with ultra-high frequencies. This transmission method generates beat harmonics between the two complex waveforms, which permeate all layers of the cable. The circuitry of the VIDAR also drives electrons from the conductor into the insulation area, neutralizing electrical charges.

It´s all a question of balance !

I recommend you to purchase 1,5 m of The Digi-Coubler 75 ohm, for the dynamic, you may need / want for playing: Heavey Metal, Heavy Rock, Rock, Blues Rock etc.

If you prefer a more "naked signal", when playing: Pop-, Jazz-, Acoustic blues-, Folk-, and Classical music etc., I will recommend you to buy 1,0 m of VDH The Optocoupler MKII instead.

This works for me and my system !

The best coax I've had. I have a marantz cd6006 connected to a Yamaha Aventage RX-3060, B & W683-S2, FOCAL-Aria, Audio Monitor, Definitive, SVS-PB2000, Furman P-800AR, etc, etc, etc. and actually the changes I make in my system They would have to be with very high quality elements to notice any changes. I commented that this cable has improved the dynamic range making it clearer and pure, in particular, I have noticed a much cleaner and deeper bass, simply, blunt. I have always said, the quality of an audio system is determined by the element of lower quality, that is, a chain is always broken by its weakest link, always try that each and every one of the links in your chain are the best of the best. This cable is high-end. I am very satisfied.

Tengo un marantz cd6006 conectado a un Yamaha Aventage RX-3060, B&W683-S2, FOCAL-Aria, Monitor Audio, Definitive, SVS-PB2000, Furman P-800AR, etc, etc, etc y en realidad los cambios que haga en mi sistema tendrían que ser con elementos de muy alta calidad para notar cualquier cambio. Les comento que este cable ha mejorado el rango dinámico haciéndolo más claro y puro, en particular, he notado un bajo mucho más limpio y profundo, simplemente, contundente. Siempre lo he dicho, la calidad de un sistema de audio lo determina el elemento de menor calidad, es decir, una cadena siempre se rompe por su eslabón más débil, procura siempre que todos y cada uno de los eslabones de tu cadena sean lo mejor de lo mejor. Este cable es de alta gama. Estoy muy satisfecho. Gracias Gary.
