Atlas Hyper 5.0 Achromatic OFC Links (Bi Wire Jumpers)
The Atlas Hyper 5.0 Achromatic OFC Links are a set of four bi-wire jumpers designed for loudspeakers with two pairs of terminals that are being driven by a single run of speaker cable. Most bi-wirable speakers leave the factory with brass bus-bars or metal plates bridging the bass and treble terminals, and brass is a relatively poor conductor, so the signal reaching one set of drive units has to pass through the weakest link in the chain. Swapping those plates for proper jumper leads made from the same family as your speaker cable is one of the simplest and most cost-effective upgrades available to anyone running a bi-wirable pair without a full bi-wire cable.
Each link is made from Oxygen Free Copper and belongs to Atlas's Hyper family, so the jumpers sit naturally alongside Hyper speaker cables such as the Hyper 3.5 and Hyper 5.0, keeping the character of the connection consistent from the amplifier all the way to both sets of drive units. The set is supplied as four links, enough for a stereo pair of speakers, with one link for the positive and one for the negative terminals on each cabinet. Atlas terminates the links with its own Achromatic connectors, offered either as Z-plugs (Atlas's low-mass banana-type plug) or as spades, so the jumpers can be matched to the terminal type on your speakers and to the plugs already used on your main cable.

Replacement Speaker Links
A high-quality replacement for the manufacturer-supplied 'bus-bar' type links, typically made of brass, which is a relatively poor conductor.
Match the link to the same speaker cable family you use for optimum performance. Available terminated with Z (Z-plug) or S (Spade) connections.
Hyper Achromatic OFC Links
Set of 4 Z or spade-terminated OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) links.
If you do have speakers with four terminals suitable for bi-wiring but don't wish to fully bi-wire (from amp to speaker), it is well worthwhile replacing the manufacturer supplied links (normally metal plates) with high-quality 'jumper' leads, ideally of the same type as your speaker cable.

About Atlas Cables
Scottish cable maker that designs and builds its own conductors, connectors and cables rather than assembling bought-in parts.

The plugs are Atlas designs too
Atlas designs its own RCA plugs. The Achromatic and Ultra RCAs are built for low mass and high bandwidth, and the newer Metik connectors were developed for personal audio. Designing the connectors in house means Atlas is not limited to what an outside supplier already sells.
Three performance levels, with named ranges in each
The catalogue is arranged in three performance levels. Upgrade covers Element and Equator, Aspire covers Hyper and Ailsa, and High End covers Mavros, Arran, Eos and Zeno. You can choose the level that suits the rest of your system, then move up later without changing brand.
Custom options and a repair service
Atlas lists luxe and speaker termination options, so you can specify a cable to suit the equipment at each end. It also repairs, customises and upgrades its cables through a dedicated service, which means you can bring an older cable up to date instead of replacing it.
Why we stock Atlas
Atlas run pure copper conductors through most of the range rather than silver or silver plating. That gives a warmer, more forgiving balance than the silver-plated cables we sell. Orders received before 4.30 pm Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. This does not apply to custom-length cables and speaker cables as these require a longer timescale to terminate. This also excludes all cables selected for the burn-in service. Please note, we do not process orders on national holidays in the UK. Over 98% of our orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays.
Standard delivery is usually within 2 working days, although 98% of all orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays. In extreme cases, such as delivery to the Highlands and Islands, this may take 3 days.
All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Future Shop. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD Local or DHL for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. For international orders, we use FedEx or DHL services where customers have selected this option.
