Alpha

Alpha sits above Delta and represents a clear step in conductor quality and noise control. It applies across mains, signal and digital cables at the same position, which makes matching straightforward: an Alpha power cable and an Alpha interconnect are at the same level. Below it, Delta is the volume range and the sensible level for most mid-price systems. Above it, Sigma uses Shunyata's more advanced conductor treatment throughout. Alpha is the level at which Shunyata's approach starts to show clearly on a resolving system. Below it the improvements are real but incremental. Here the difference in noise floor tends to be obvious, particularly on the power side, where Shunyata's background in medical and laboratory power delivery is most relevant to what the cable is being asked to do.
