The iFi Audio LAN iPurifier Pro 4 is a serious piece of network infrastructure designed for complex, high-demand AV setups where multiple streaming devices need to receive a consistently clean and stable network signal. Where the LAN iSilencer+ uses transformer-based galvanic isolation, the iPurifier Pro 4 takes a more thoroughgoing approach: incoming network data is converted from an electrical signal into light, transmitted across an optical barrier, and then reconverted back to an electrical signal on the output side. This optical isolation method eliminates all electrical pathways between input and output, blocking common-mode noise, stray voltages, and parasitic capacitance that can persist even through conventional transformer isolation. The result is a genuinely separate signal environment on the output side, free from the interference carried in on the network. 

Once through the optical stage, the data stream is fully reconstructed using active circuitry. This signal regeneration process rebuilds the binary data bit-perfectly, removing any distortion or degradation accumulated during transmission and delivering a clean, accurately timed stream to connected devices. The elimination of jitter at this stage is particularly significant for DACs, streamers, network bridges, and audio servers, where timing precision directly affects conversion quality and therefore sound. With four independent RJ45 ports, the iPurifier Pro 4 can condition multiple devices simultaneously within the same system, making it well suited to dedicated listening rooms or professional AV installations. The unit supports Gigabit bandwidth across all ports and is compatible with iFi's OMNI rack mount kit for clean integration into equipment racks. Power is supplied via a 5V DC connection at up to 4A, with approximately 15W consumption in use.

Unlike transformer-based designs, the LAN iPurifier Pro 4 converts incoming network data – carried as an electrical signal – into light, then transmitting across an optical barrier before it is reconverted to an electrical signal for the final stage of its journey to your key AV devices.

By eliminating all electrical pathways between input and output, this method entirely blocks common-mode noise, stray voltages, and parasitic capacitance that can still pose a threat to signal purity in conventional isolation methods.
