PS Audio PerfectWave AC12 Mains Power Cable - UK
Getting the power from the wall receptacle to your equipment is a critical link that is often times overlooked. The AC12 is PS Audio's best power cable providing a low noise, low impedance path for the AC power to connect your equipment to either a Power Plant AC Regenerator or the wall outlet in your home. Improvements to both audio and video performance are dramatic. Build your foundation properly, start with only the best.
The AC12 is PS Audio's finest power cable ever made. Heavy gauge, low impedance, the finest pure copper available worldwide. The AC 12 is perfect for digital, analogue, or any application where you want the very best performance possible.
Construction of the AC12 employs multiple conductor types, including hollow core, flat and solid core conductors, and multiple outer shields properly terminated at only the male end of the cable.
Whatever your application, the AC12 is unmatched in performance.
In every home, AC noise generated by electrical appliances can audibly degrade the performance of your audio system. The PerfectWave AC Series leverages a patented technology that maximises capacitance and lowers noise by increasing the conductor's surface area in close proximity to a specific dielectric. This advanced approach significantly minimises the impact of AC noise, resulting in enhanced audio clarity and purity.
Attention to detail is paramount in the PerfectWave AC Series. All conductors undergo spool testing for directionality at the factory, ensuring consistent performance. They are then wound into the power cables in a meticulous manner, providing remarkable coherence and precise accuracy to the sound of connected equipment.
Connectors play an equally vital role in the performance of power cables. The PerfectWave AC Series features connectors crafted from a solid block of high copper content brass, meticulously polished to eliminate any surface irregularities. The fusion of conductors to connectors employs two forms of welding, creating an impeccable bond that ensures optimal signal transfer.
Features
- PCOCC single crystal construction
- 8 gauge power cable

Contact Enhancer Option
To ensure the best possible connection between your system, Future Shop recommends the DeoxIT Gold G-Series contact enhancer.
DeoxIT Gold is carefully applied to the plug contacts of your cable and is a unique conditioning solution designed to improve conductivity and provide long-lasting protection on gold, base metals and other precious metal contacts and connections. DeoxIT Gold penetrates plated surfaces, molecularly bonding to the base metals to seal and protect both surfaces.
The benefits of applying DeoxIT gold are:
- Improved Conductivity
- Maintained optimum signal quality
- Reduced wear & abrasion
- Prevents fretting/dendrite corrosion
- Forms a protective anti-tarnishing coating
- Stabilises connections between similar and dissimilar metals
