QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilize air core technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation

Low constant dielectric materials such as Teflon have been used to cut down on the amount of audio signal energy lost due to cable capacitance.
Revelation is a completely new design from the QED laboratories. It utilizes the technologies of both Genesis and X-Tube cables and combines them in a new miniature format to bring high end cable philosophies to the mid range hifi market.

Termination
This cable is professionally terminated by Futureshop's expert engineers using QED's superb 24 Carat gold plated AIRLOC termination plugs.
AIRLOC is QED's specialised loudspeaker termination method and offers the very best termination with QED speaker cables. This is a solder-free, airtight fusion between the cable and plug offering optimum signal transfer, excellent signal quality and perfect long-term performance.
QED’s AIRLOC FORTE metal banana and spade plugs deliver a superior performance over many plugs offered by rival manufacturers for the following reasons. Firstly, the plug is crimped around the conductors under high pressure using a special tool supplied by QED. No soldering is used and as a result the conductors are in contact with the plug 360 degrees which maximises the surface area contact. Furthermore, the banana plug itself is in contact with the binding post again at 360 degrees. The net effect of this is it maximises the signal transfer from the plug into your equipment and hence a superior performance. When bare wire is used not all the conductors are in contact with the binding post and as a result some loss occurs.
Unfortunately the metal barrels for the AIRLOC spades were discontinued in 2012 however we still use genuine QED’s AIRLOC spade plugs with genuine QED heat shrinks over the spade plugs. This ensures every QED speaker cable comes fully terminated with the best of QED's engineering.

Orders received before 4.30 pm Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Future Shop. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD Local or DHL for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. Great result.
Since I was so happy with the revelation cables, I decided to go for revelation jumper cables. I also moved the revelation speaker cables to the high-frequency connectors (as I read online), opened the internal link of the speakers, and used the jumpers (spade to banana) to connect the high- to the low-frequency input.
Honestly, I didn't expect much, so I was really surprised by the boost in sound quality from the first songs I heard.
I am so very happy with my purchase.
Replaced the metal bars that came with my speakers with these, what a difference in sound quality.

En complément du câblage des enceintes B&W cm1 avec le câble qed signature revelation, substitué à un câble 1er prix, ces jumpers ont remplacé mes cavaliers d’origine et le résultat est là : j’ai l’impression d’avoir un nouvel ampli Nad et de nouvelles enceintes, tout simplement.
My first thought, the music sounded a little shut in in comparison, however I decided to persevere as I got used to them I noticed a sweetness to the strings and a rightness to the overall balance. I began to think the silver on my cheep cables had tuned my ears to a more forward bright, mix.
I now think these are right and I am happy to stay with them.
