The 30cm version of the red dawn leif usb cable would be the perfect length for convenience. Is there any drawback or loss in performance by choosing the 30cm version over the 1 meter cable? (Type C usb to micro b - between Chord Hugo2 and ipad). With many thanks for your time. Jon Curd

There is no downside to going for the short lengths of USB cables . The same high quality construction is applied to the whole range and will not have any negative effect on performance
